John MacKenna is the author of nineteen books and a dozen stage plays – working in short and long form fiction; memoir; poetry and social history.
He is a winner of the Irish Times, Hennessy and C Day Lewis awards and a Jacobs Radio Award for his documentaries with Leonard Cohen. He teaches creative writing at NUI Maynooth.
