Issue 3 will include work from Pat Boran, Mary O’Donnell, Nuala O’Connor, and new voices Dawn Watson, Caragh Maxwell and many others. There are local and international voices and experiences. Some writers included are publishing creative work for the first time.
Contributors will read from their work during the launch.
The Cormorant takes its name from the seabird associated with carrying messages between worlds captured in a poem by the late Dermot Healy. They are familiar sites along the Sligo coastline, standing sentinel, watchful and waiting.
