Sand Drawings
Nine Queens
Nine Sculptors worked with nine community groups along Sligo beaches creating a series of sand sculptures representing the daughters of Manannán mac Lír, sea god of Irish mythology. The nine queens from a Country Under Wave wove a cloak as a peace offering for Cúchullainn, the young warrior, who challenged their father to a dual.
